The story
Clear the Air Cooling & Heating was founded in 1990 by Mike Stom, who came to HVAC by way of NASA's Space Program. After spending years engineering life-support systems and helping astronauts in the crew trainers (simulator) where the cost of being wrong was measured in lives and dollars per pound, he turned his attention to a different kind of comfort: keeping South Houston families and businesses cool, warm, and breathing clean air.
"At NASA, the toughest challenge is to bring a comfortable, safe environment to the cold lifelessness of space," Mike used to say. "We bring all that experience and knowledge to your home or business."
Clear the Air is now a second-generation family business, run by Mike's son Jason Stom and his wife Dawn. The standards haven't changed: weekly training for every technician, and the same focus on doing right by every South Houston family that calls us.
We're not the cheapest HVAC company in Pearland. We're the company you call when you want it done right and you want a real person to answer the phone in 2035 if anything ever needs warranty work.

Today Jason Stom and his wife Dawn continue carrying forward the same promise. Their children Liam and Holly are now working in the company, helping drive its growth. From Sugar Land to Galveston, installed and serviced by techs who train every week.
