Repair, Sealing & Replacement · Pearland & South Houston

The Hidden Reason Your AC Doesn't Cool.

You can install a brand-new high-efficiency AC, but if the ductwork is leaking, undersized, or poorly designed, you've thrown away half of it. Most Pearland homes lose 25-40% of their conditioned air through duct leaks, into your attic, walls, and crawl spaces.

What's included in a Ductwork

Ductwork is the most overlooked part of an HVAC system. It's also where the biggest gains live. Here's what we do.

Duct inspection & static pressure test

We measure airflow at every register and static pressure at the unit. Numbers, not visual guesses. The data tells us where the problems are.

Aeroseal duct sealing

A pressurized aerosol seals leaks from the inside out, every joint, seam, and pinhole. Typical Pearland home gains 25-30% efficiency after sealing.

Duct redesign (Manual D)

Some homes have ducts that were never sized correctly. We redesign and rebuild trunk lines and runs to deliver balanced airflow to every room.

Full duct replacement

When the existing system is past saving, crushed, rotted, full of mold, we tear it out and replace with R-8 insulated flex or hard pipe.

Signs your ducts are the problem

If the AC is running but the rooms aren't cooling, the ducts are usually why.

  • One or two rooms are always too hot or too cold
  • AC runs constantly but the house never gets cool
  • Energy bills high despite a newer AC
  • Whistling or rumbling sounds from vents
  • Visible mold or sagging ducts in the attic
  • Dust pours out of the registers when AC kicks on
  • House feels humid even with AC running
  • Filter gets dirty within days of changing
  • Recent AC install but comfort hasn't improved
  • Building an addition and need new ducts

How a visit works

Five steps. No surprises. Same on your first call as your fiftieth.

  1. Schedule an inspection

A tech walks the attic, measures airflow at every register, runs a static pressure test, and looks for visible leaks and damage.

  2. Written report with options

You see the data and the options: sealing only, partial replacement, or full redesign. Each option with a written quote.

  3. Pick a date

Aeroseal sealing is a single-day job. Full replacement is 1-3 days depending on the home. We confirm timeline 24 hours ahead.

  4. Work day(s)

Two-tech crew, drop cloths, attic protection. We test airflow before and after so you can see the real change.

  5. Verification & report

We re-measure static pressure and airflow and document the gains. You get the before/after numbers in writing.

What Pearland neighbors are saying

★★★★★

"Two upstairs bedrooms were always 8 degrees warmer than downstairs. Three companies said 'add a mini-split.' Clear the Air ran a static pressure test, found the trunk was undersized, and redesigned the system. Now the whole house is balanced. Real engineering."

★★★★★

"Aeroseal in one day. The before-and-after report showed a 31% reduction in leakage and a measurable change in static pressure. Bill dropped meaningfully and the house cools faster. Money well spent."

"We bought a 1970s house and the ductwork was a disaster, sagging, mold, holes. Clear the Air tore it all out and replaced with R-8 flex. Two days, clean install, and the comfort improvement is night and day."

Frequently asked

How do I know if I have duct problems?

A few telltale signs: rooms that never cool to the same temperature, an AC that runs constantly but never gets there, energy bills that jumped without an obvious reason, or visible damage in the attic. The definitive test is a static pressure measurement, which we do for free with any duct inspection.

What is Aeroseal?

Aeroseal is a duct-sealing process that pressurizes your duct system and injects an aerosol that seeks out and seals leaks from the inside. Tiny droplets accumulate at every leak point and bond into a permanent seal. It's the most effective duct-sealing method available, and it's typically a single-day job with no demolition.

How much can I save by sealing my ducts?

Most Pearland homes lose 25-40% of conditioned air to duct leaks. Sealing typically reduces those losses by 75-90%, which translates to a real efficiency gain. We measure before and after so you see the actual numbers, not estimates.

Can you redesign my ductwork?

Yes. We do Manual D calculations to size each run for the airflow it needs to deliver. Many homes, especially additions and second-story rooms, were never sized correctly, and no amount of sealing will fix that. Redesign rebuilds the trunk and branch runs to balance the home.

How long does duct work take?

Aeroseal sealing is one day. Partial replacement of damaged sections is typically one day. Full duct replacement on a 2,000-3,000 sq ft home is 2-3 days. We confirm timeline 24 hours ahead.

Do you need to access my attic?

Yes for inspection and most ductwork in Pearland (most homes have ducts in the attic). We use full attic protection, drop cloths over insulation, walking boards, and cleanup at the end.

Is duct cleaning part of this?

We don't do general "duct cleaning" the way some companies advertise, most of it is theater and doesn't address the real issues. We DO clean ducts when we're replacing or sealing them, and we treat for mold when found. If your concern is allergies or air quality, IAQ filtration and UV solve the actual problem.

Will duct work disrupt my home?

Less than you'd think. Most work is in the attic, with minimal disruption inside. We protect floors, contain dust, and clean up at the end of every day. Aeroseal in particular is a clean process, we test and seal without removing anything.
